   About six months ago, I bought myself a pair of Alpine PartyPlug earplugs.
   The main purpose for buying these was to have something decent to wear to gigs instead of using the cheap foam ones that
   strongly taper off frequencies over 3kHz for me, not to mention being rather uncomfortable to wear for several hours on end.
   I also play live shows frequently and needed a pair the would also serve well in blocking out high onstage volumes without muddying up the sound.
   I chose the PartyPlug based on price point - I wan't a pair that was of high quality yet cheap enough that it wouldn't be a big deal if one fell out and got lost.
   
   I've enjoyed using the earplugs over the last six months. They have several benefits over the foam ones I was using before:
   
   - The frequency response is much broader so the high frequencies are no longer muffled.
   - They are really comfortable - They don't slowly work their way out of my ear canal like the foam ones will and they aren't putting a lot of pressure on the inside of my ear, so even after several hours my ears don't hurt at all.
   - The attenuation on them is so that I can still hear someone speak to me at normal volume without the need to take them out.
   - They have more longevity in that they are rubber and can easily be washed and reused.
   - I can forget that I'm wearing the things. Also, when I take them out at the end of the night, my ears feel completely normal without any soreness or ringing. (Posted on 6/11/09)

   I bought these to use when out in the weekends and also while i ride my motorbike, the difference is huge!
   
   I can still hear everything happening around me but as soon as im done i remove them and my ears feel normal. no more ringing or sore ears the next day :) STOKED (Posted on 7/02/09)

3. Best purchase of the year! Review by Chris

   Tried these out over new years at Phat09 and they were awesome! The music was what you'd call 'extremely loud" but I could stay listening to it for hours at a time and didn't have ringing ears afterwards. You could hardly tell they were in, and they didn't harm the music at all.
